At Decusatio Impact Investment Solutions, we have the opportunity to work with a number of innovative, high-impact partners who are materially changing the lives of South Africans.
We were fortunate enough to be able to showcase some of this work at the 2023 Leaderex event, where we invited our various partners to come and talk about the work they are doing. In this interview, we talk to Shamiela Sarlie, the Managing Director of Blossom Care Solutions – a social impact initiative addressing the lack of access to sanitary products in South Africa.
Blossom Care is a very unique model that has proven popular with a number of corporate partners as it:
- Offers a unique entrepreneurship offering empowering young women to be business owners while teaching valuable manufacturing and business skills
- Addresses the matter of access to sanitary products which is a major challenge in South Africa which in turn impacts access to education for young women.
- Meets a number of the UN sustainable development goals.
